Web settings and connections

Manage About Me, API keys, connected apps, and available integrations.

Open Settings in the web app to review your account and the services that can access it.

Personalize new note summaries

Under Settings → Notes, add relevant background to About Me—for example, your role, recurring projects, preferred terminology, or important names. Monologue uses this context when it summarizes new notes.

About Me accepts up to 10,000 characters. Avoid adding passwords, private keys, or unrelated sensitive information.

Manage API keys

Under Settings → API Keys, you can create, review, and revoke personal API keys.

Copy a new key when Monologue shows it. The complete secret is shown only once. Store it in a password manager or secret store, and revoke it if it is exposed or no longer needed.

Review connected apps

Under Settings → Connected apps, review apps you have authorized with Monologue, including compatible MCP clients. Each connection shows its granted scopes, such as permission to read Notes or remain signed in.

Revoking a connection removes its access immediately. If you revoke the connection that powers your current web session, Monologue signs you out of the web app.

When webhooks are available, Settings → Webhooks lets you create an endpoint, inspect deliveries, send a test, pause or resume delivery, rotate the signing secret, and delete the endpoint. See the webhook API guide before using webhook data in production.
