Organize, edit, and share notes

Search recordings, correct speaker names, refine summaries, and control sharing.

Open Notes in a Monologue app or on the web to return to completed recordings.

Find and organize notes

Search for a note by its title or content. Add tags for projects, people, or recurring topics, then use those tags to filter the Notes list.

Refine a completed note

Depending on the device, you can:

  • Edit the note title and summary.
  • Read the transcript while listening to the original recording.
  • Name detected speakers and mark one speaker as you.
  • Regenerate the summary after correcting speaker names.

Regenerating a summary replaces the existing summary, including manual edits. Copy anything you want to keep first.

Personalize future summaries

Use About Me in Notes settings to add relevant context such as your name, role, projects, and preferred terminology. Monologue uses it for new note summaries, not to rewrite completed notes automatically.

About Me accepts up to 10,000 characters. Keep it focused and do not add passwords or private keys.

Copy or share

Available actions vary by device, but can include copying or sharing the summary, transcript, recording, or a public link.

Treat a note link as accessible to anyone who receives it. To withdraw access, open the note and choose Stop Sharing. The old link will no longer open the shared note.

Deleting a note is permanent. Stop sharing first if you only want to disable its public link while keeping the note in your account.
