Yes. On Mac, Monologue can record your microphone and system audio together, capturing your voice and the other people in a meeting without adding a bot to the call. You must grant the optional Screen Recording permission before Monologue can capture system audio.
Monologue offers local transcription models on Mac that can turn speech into text without an internet connection. Smart formatting and syncing still require a connection. For Dictation, Monologue does not save audio or transcripts on its servers, and its AI providers process dictation with zero data retention. Saved Notes are stored separately so they can sync across your devices.
Yes. Monologue can make saved Notes available to supported AI agents and tools through MCP, API, and CLI access. An agent can search or retrieve transcripts and summaries you have already captured, so you can turn conversations into meeting minutes, action items, or other work without copying and pasting the original transcript.
