Changelog

Find your notes with Siri AI

Monologue now supports iOS 27 with new Siri AI integration. Ask Siri to find and open your notes, discover them through Spotlight, and access them with Shortcuts.

We’ve also improved search in Monologue. Search across your synced notes and filter by tags to find what you need faster.

Improvements

• Smoother scrolling and faster browsing in Notes.
• Easier tag management, including creating, renaming, and deleting tags.
• More reliable recording recovery after audio interruptions.
• Keep music playing when starting a recording through Shortcuts, the Action Button, or Control Center.
• Improved sign-in and account syncing with Apple Watch.
• More responsive keyboard suggestions and improved keyboard stability.
• Copied transcripts now include assigned speaker names.

New features

• Compose Beta: Use your voice to write or edit text with Compose, available when Beta Mode is enabled.
• When you start a note manually during a detected meeting, Monologue now reminds you when the meeting ends, so you can stop and save or keep recording.
• You can now attach diagnostic logs when sending feedback to help us investigate issues.
• You can now remove the default push-to-talk shortcut and use only your preferred shortcuts, including hands-free recording.
• Search Notes by text or tags, including notes beyond the ones already loaded in the list.

Meet Dot

Dot is a new recorder that stays close to where you’re writing and moves with you as you work.

• See where your text will appear: Dot sits beside the active writing field and shows when Monologue is listening and turning your speech into text.
• Move between apps: Switch apps while you record and Dot follows your pointer. Monologue remembers where you started and inserts the finished text there.
• Keep working without interruption: When you’re not recording, Dot stays out of the way.
• Choose what works for you: Hide Dot, turn it off in individual apps, or switch back to Classic at any time.
• Report placement issues: If Dot appears in the wrong place, click it and select “Report” so we can investigate and fix it.

To try Dot, update to Monologue for Mac v1.5.0 and go to Settings → Dictation → Indicator → Dot.
